The Asia Pacific CCUS Conference and Exhibition (APCC) for 2025 took place on 26–27 August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The conference, which focused on ‘Commitment to Action: Unlocking the Full Potential of CCUS’, brought together industry leaders, policymakers and innovators to discuss cutting-edge carbon capture, utilisation and storage technologies and strategic hub development.

The event marked the publication of a flow assurance paper, presented by our colleague Carlos Quintero. The flow assurance discipline has been a key element in building a robust technical dossier for the Aramis project. This discipline has not only provided essential structural elements for the pipeline and D-HUBN design but also underpinned assurance on the operating and integrity envelopes while offering a firm basis for better understanding of the overall system functionality from emitters to stores.

Thanks to a focused effort during the FEED phase, and subsequently in collaboration with partner experts, this has culminated in groundbreaking work that has gained recognition at an international level through publication at the Asia Pacific CCUS conference.
